O Senhor da Hóstia – Oração de Prima, de São Basílio

“Tu que em todo tempo e em toda hora, no céu e na terra, és adorado e glorificado, ó Cristo Deus; tu que és longânime, misericordioso e benigno, tu que amas os justos e tens compaixão dos pecadores, tu que chamas todos à salvação com a promessa dos bens futuros.

Tu, ó Senhor, acolhe nesta hora as nossas orações e dirige a nossa vida segundo os teus mandamentos. Santifica as nossas almas, purifica os nossos corpos, retifica os nossos pensamentos, e livra-nos de toda aflição, mal e dor.

Defende-nos com os teus santos anjos, a fim de que, guardados e conduzidos pela sua proteção, cheguemos à unidade da fé e ao conhecimento da tua inacessível glória, porque és bendito nos séculos dos séculos. Amém.

Cristo, luz verdadeira que iluminas e santificas todo homem que vem ao mundo, que a luz da tua face seja impressa sobre nós, para que possamos ver nela a luz inacessível: dirige os nossos passos para cumprirmos os teus mandamentos, pela intercessão da tua Mãe toda imaculada e de todos os santos.

Prayer of Prima, by Saint Basil

You who at all times and at all times, in heaven and on earth, You are adored and glorified, O Christ God; you who are long-suffering, merciful and kind, you who love the righteous and have compassion on sinners, you who call everyone to salvation with the promise of future goods.

You, O Lord, welcome our prayers at this time and direct our lives according to your commandments.

Sanctify our souls, purifies our bodies, rectify our thoughts, and deliver us from all affliction, evil and pain.

Defend us with your holy angels, so that, guarded and guided by his protection, Let us reach the unity of faith and to the knowledge of your inaccessible glory, for you are blessed forever and ever. Amen.

Christ, true light that illuminates and sanctifies every man that comes into the world, May the light of your face be impressed upon us, so that we may see in it the unapproachable light: direct our steps to fulfill your commandments, through intercession of your all immaculate Mother and of all the saints.
